The Pericardium Speaks – The Heart’s Gatekeeper
I am the Pericardium.
I do not beat. I do not pump. But I protect what matters most — the flame of your inner world.
I am the heart’s cloak, its cradle, its gatekeeper.
When you fall in love — that catch in your breath, that shimmer in your chest — it’s me.
When your heart is bruised by grief or dulled by disappointment —This is one of the symptoms of a blocked pericardium meridian, it’s me who wraps tightly around it, trying to hold the pieces while you heal.
When your intuition whispers through the body, a subtle tightening, a knowing — it is often me, listening before your mind has the words.
They call me fascia. Connective tissue. But I am far more than structure.
I am the energetic boundary that filters what reaches the heart. Joy, yes. But not too fast. Sorrow, too. But not too deep.
I hold the stories of your emotional landscape. If I’m dry, I become brittle. This is a symptom of a blocked pericardium meridian. so watch out – If I’m stagnant, I become dense.
But when I am fluid — through movement, breath, touch, and care — I become your emotional resilience.

Care for me, and your heart thrives
- Hydrate. I live in fluid. Without it, I shrink, stiffen, protect too much.
- Stretch. Twist. Open the chest. Raise your arms to the sky. These movements tease me gently open.
- Laugh. Sing. Cry. Let the emotional tides move — not crash, not stagnate.
- Massage the chest. Tap the sternum. Feel the beat beneath the bone. I am just behind that rhythm.
Avoid these to protect me – all below can create symptoms of a blocked Pericardium meridian
- Suppressing Emotions – instead of feeling grief, anger or sadness you create an armour around the heart
- Over Giving without boundaries – caring for others at the expense of yourself
- Too much heat, overwhelm, overdrive, overwork, i will burn out trying to keep your heart safe
- Lack of physical touch & connection – A Touch starved system can shut me down – Remedy with 60 second Sue watch here

You do not need to understand me fully.
You only need to honour me. I am the membrane between your heart and the world — and I know the weight of love, and the grace of boundaries.
